Sometimes you want something a little nutty, a little roasty, and super cozy—and that’s exactly why we made the Kinako Matcha Latte.
Kinako (aka roasted soybean flour) gives this drink its signature warm, toasty flavor. It pairs so well with matcha’s earthy notes, and when you add creamy milk, you get a mellow, rich, and totally comforting latte.
We were craving something that feels like a slow afternoon, a soft sweater, or your favorite lo-fi playlist—and this is it. Give it a try. You’ll get it.
Blend milk, kinako powder and salt together in a separate cup with an electric whisk
Fill a cup with ice, pour in the milk blend, then layer with the matcha mixture on top!
Optional topping: add cream on top and dust with more kinako powder

Tips for making your Kinako Matcha Latte
If you're thinking about making this cozy drink at home? Here’s how to get that warm, nutty goodness just right:
Milk: Use whatever milk you like—dairy or plant-based. Just go for something creamy to balance the roasty vibes.
Kinako Mix: Kinako (roasted soybean flour) has this toasty, nutty flavor that makes the whole drink feel grounding and mellow. Stir it into warm milk until smooth—no clumps if you can help it! A little whisking or frothing goes a long way to get that silky, sippable texture.
Sweetener: We recommend using a liquid sweetener. Kinako has a natural subtle sweetness, so you don’t need much—just enough to make the flavors pop.

Loved the ceremonial uji matcha! Had unami but doesn't taste bitter. Appreciate the accompanying instructions and gifts that make the matcha making experience convenient.
I have subscribed for over 5 months already, absolutely LOVE the matcha and does not disappoint. Actually so so good even my non matcha loving sister loves it.
So far, this is one of the better matcha powder I have tasted. I used this to make matcha latte, and tasted very nice with the complementary kinako powder with oat milk.
Best matcha. Now it’s a daily thing even for my family.
Best matcha. Now it’s a daily thing even for my family. My kids also know how to make their matcha latte themselves already. I just made myself the trending matcha chia seed pudding. Taste delicious at a fraction of the price you pay outside!
this is probably my favorite matcha i’ve tried, and i’m about to buy my 3rd tin, i love the silkiness and the umami taste, and the green is so mouthwatering, overall, i’m sticking to crafti!
